How AMP approaches origin

Useful information beats vague claims.

“Australian made”, “locally sourced” and “lower impact” do not mean the same thing. We separate those ideas so customers can make a decision based on the product, the application and the available evidence.

If origin is important for a tender, internal policy or customer promise, ask us to confirm the specific product before relying on the claim.

  • Locally sourcedSupplied through Australian businesses, converters and manufacturers where practical.
  • Imported productsIncluded when local manufacture, continuity, range or commercial fit is not available.
  • Lower-impact optionsWe explain evidenced material, recycled-content or disposal attributes without assuming a broad environmental benefit.
  • Fit for purposeOrigin matters, but the product still needs to suit the application, supply requirement and budget.

We do not apply broad origin or sustainability labels without reliable supporting product or supplier information.

    Where the finished product is made, and whether the information is specific to that item rather than a supplier-wide assumption.

  • Materials and certification

    Material composition, recycled content, food-contact statements and relevant certification where supplied.

  • Supply and application

    Whether the product is available consistently, performs for the intended use and remains commercially realistic.

Are all AMP products Australian made?

No. Some categories have strong local options, while others rely on imported products for range, availability, performance or commercial reasons.

What does locally sourced mean?

It means the product is sourced through Australian suppliers, converters or manufacturers. It does not automatically mean the finished product was manufactured in Australia.

Can you find an Australian-made alternative?

Where a suitable option exists, we can compare it. Share the current product, application, quantity and any specifications that cannot change.

How are sustainability claims handled?

We prefer specific information such as material, recycled content, certification and disposal guidance. We avoid broad environmental claims that are not supported.

Can origin be confirmed for a quote or tender?

Yes, where reliable product or supplier information is available. Tell us what evidence or wording is required before the quote is finalised.
